The Ricon KlearVue K-Series wheelchair lift is one of the most innovative accessibility products available today. Based on market-proven Ricon S-Series® technology, including the Ricon Safety Zone, the unique KlearVue platform automatically folds horizontally when stowed, giving both the driver and passengers an unobstructed view through the door glass. From the outside the KlearVue lift is virtually unseen, and commercial and paratransit drivers appreciate the added safety benefit of minimized blind spots.
Because the platform folds in half, the KlearVue accommodates a longer lift platform inside a standard door opening with no raised roof or raised doors required. It is available in the heavy-duty Titanium line (1,000 lbs. capacity) and the value-priced Classic line (800 lbs. capacity), and installs in either side or rear door applications of full-size vans, cutaway shuttle buses, paratransit vehicles and school buses.

How the KlearVue Platform Folds
Stowed, Folding and Fully Deployed
Unlike a conventional platform lift that stands upright in the doorway when stowed, the KlearVue platform folds in half and lies horizontally beneath the window line. The lift unfolds automatically when the lift is operated, lowers to the ground, and refolds when stowed, leaving the door glass clear for the driver and passengers.

The Ricon Safety Zone
Industry-Leading Safety Features Surround the Passenger
Occupant Restraint Belt System. The patented, fully interlocked Ricon restraint belt combines with dual contoured handrails, inner and outer rollstop barriers and side rails for industry-leading passenger security. The lift will not operate unless the belt is securely fastened.
Threshold Warning System. Optical sensors detect a breach of the threshold area and activate both a visible beacon and an audible beeper warning. The Titanium line adds a low-profile beacon with 360° visibility.
Bridgeplate Load Sensor. Prevents platform movement if a load is detected on the inboard rollstop.
Hand Control Pendant. The magnetized pendant attaches directly to the frame when the lift is stowed or loading. Titanium models use the exclusive Dura-Touch™ pendant with a shock-resistant polypropylene case, water-resistant buttons, a heavy-duty coiled cord and twist-n-lock connection points on either side of the lift.
Manual Backup System. A hand pump raises the lift and a pressure release valve lowers it should vehicle power ever be lost.
Smooth Transitions, Quiet Ride
Automatic Inboard and Outboard Rollstops
Inboard Rollstop. The automatic inner barrier lays completely flat for a smooth platform-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-platform transition (EZ-Roll™ on Titanium models). The inboard rollstop interlock prevents the platform from moving while the barrier is occupied.
Two-Tiered Outboard Rollstop. The outer barrier features a durable one-piece extruded aluminum design and a mechanical actuator for smooth operation on the widest range of surfaces. Titanium models add rollers and a quiet-touch rubber tip.
Sto-Loc™ and Anti-Vibration Bumpers. Patented Sto-Loc technology on the reverse side of the inboard rollstop prevents lift drift, and anti-vibration bumpers secure the stowed lift for a quiet ride.
Low Maintenance. Easy-to-reach hydraulic flow control valves, Melonite® coated pins with Teflon® coated bearings that require no lubrication, stainless steel fittings and a cycle counter that tracks usage for service and maintenance.

Roller Bracket. Secures the K-Series platform folding brackets and locks the outboard rollstop in place for a quiet ride.

Personal and Commercial Applications
Full-Size Wheelchair Vans
For personal mobility, the KlearVue installs in the side or rear door of a full-size van. Because the folded platform sits below the window line, the driver keeps a clear view through the side glass and passengers are not staring at the back of an upright platform. The longer platform fits larger power chairs and scooters without raised doors, so the van can still fit in a standard garage.
Paratransit, Shuttle and School Buses
Ricon commercial lifts are designed for DOT public-use vehicles. All Ricon paratransit designs are tested to meet or exceed the most rigorous elements of FMVSS 403/404, 49 CFR Part 38 (ADA), CSA D409 and the California Vehicle Code (CA Title 13). The Titanium line is rated for a true 1,000 lbs. for heavy power chairs and attendants; the lighter Classic line is rated for 800 lbs. and carries a 5-year limited warranty.
