BraunAbility offers several wheelchair lift models to address the specific needs of motorcoach manufacturers, including the NL500 Series. Mounted in the coach’s lift bay, the NL500 powers out, up, down and back into its stowed position, while the rotating handrails and two-stage platform are manually operated.
NL500 Series lifts are built for dependability and will provide years of service as long as the lift is installed and serviced as specified by a BraunAbility certified technician and operated by an instructed person. Hardened pins and self-lubricating bushings decrease wear, provide smooth operation and extend the service life of the lift. Stows Inside the Lift Bay
Hydraulic In/Out and Telescopic Up/Down Motion
The NL500 Series lives in the coach’s lift bay, out of the passenger area entirely. Hydraulic in/out motion powers the lift out of the bay and back in, and hydraulic telescopic motion raises and lowers the platform. The handrails fold and unfold by hand, as does the platform and its manual pull-out extension.

Cycle Counter & Scheduled Maintenance
Proper maintenance is necessary to ensure safe, trouble-free operation, and inspecting the lift for wear, damage or other abnormal conditions should be part of the transit agency’s daily service program. Simple inspections detect potential problems early. Maintenance and lubrication must be performed by a BraunAbility-authorized service representative at the scheduled intervals according to the number of cycles, which the NL500’s built-in cycle counter displays on the electronic control board.
